The latest official driver for GeForce FX cards (released in 2003), is dated October 17, 2006. For example, Nvidia’s current drivers support cards going back to the GeForce 6 series. AMD says, “By moving pre-6xx products to legacy support status, we will be able to focus more of our software engineering resources on current and future products, operating systems and applications.” Products from the Radeon HD 2000, Radeon HD 3000, and Radeon HD 4000 series will continue to receive monthly driver updates as they do now. AMD assures us that these products will still receive critical “hotfix” drivers if high-priority fixes are needed. As in the past, the product keys and retail/OEM disks will not be interchangeable, your disk must match the type of key. After Catalyst 9.3, products prior to the R6xx generation of graphics cards (that go by the Radeon HD 2000 series brand names) will be changed to “legacy support status.” This means that these products will get quarterly WHQL driver updates, instead of monthly updates. The retail disk will only include both disks with Ultimate, others will have an option to order the 64-bit disk, probably for a small shipping fee.

"The product key you purchase should be able to install either version. As in the past, the product keys and retail/OEM disks will not be interchangeable, your disk must match the type of key." Is this a limitation of the license, or can the product key be used to install a copy of the other version if you obtain a copy of the disk?
ATI FIREGL DRIVERS FOR T3400 64 BIT
>The OEM version ships with either 32 or 64 bit versions, and not both like the retail. > Are users allowed to switch between 32 and 64 bit versions as they desire (Retail or OEM), so long as only one version is installed? Here's what i found diving around on the net. It's like paying twice just for some recompiled applications. since you actually have to buy 64 bit functionality and you ALREADY own 32 bit. IF microsoft and hp use different keys for 32 and 64 bit THAT really would suck.
ATI FIREGL DRIVERS FOR T3400 32 BIT
So you might recieve a cd with 32 bit but your license should extend to the 64 bit too, so you can download an oem version of vista business 64 from just about anywhere and use your key on that.Ī friend of mine bought Vista Ultimate retail and he got both dvd's (one 32 bit one 64 bit) with only one key ( at least this is what he told me ). i had to request the 32 bit too but the keys SHOULD be interchangeable between 32 and 64. anyone up for creating a STRAP DRIVER for the subsystem ID on a MB.?! NOTE THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE MAINBOARD SUBSYSTEM ID ( as in the cpu motherboard.) i use the same string to identify the MB to my acpi control system (another story. ATI& DEV_71C5 device ID&SUBSYS_ 309F actually the motherboard(as in cpu mb) system id 103C the chip system id "ATI MOBILITY FireGL V5200" = ati2mtag_M56 the chip name, PCI\VEN_1002 the vendor. This is the string FOR MY NON FIREGL LAPTOP if installed in a different MB turns out to be a raderon. A FIREGL is a "REAL" firegl ONLY when installed in a certain system( as in motherboard for integrated gpu laptop's). ATI& DEV_71C5 device ID&SUBSYS_ 30B4 actually the motherboard(as in cpu mb) system id 103C the chip system id so there is no point in modding since both radeon and firegl lines do in fact share the same driver in vista. That's just the name of the chip BUT if you look a little further in the file you can see that is does not install ANY special opengl driver (yet)
